What you need to qualify
Two routes, depending on whether you're employed by a company or run your own business.
Salaried employee USD 3,500/mo
- Passport valid 6+ months
- Contract with a non-UAE company, 1+ year remaining
- 6 months' bank statements evidencing income
- Valid UAE-applicable health insurance
Business owner USD 5,000/mo
- 1+ year of business ownership (registered overseas)
- Gross monthly income of USD 5,000
- 6 months' business financial evidence
- Valid UAE-applicable health insurance
Income threshold currently being tightened
The official figure is USD 3,500, but a January 2026 ICP/GDRFA circular is being applied in some cases at USD 5,000, with a 6-month bank statement period and AED 500,000 insurance cover. We confirm the threshold for your specific case at consultation, before any fees are charged.
